美国科罗拉多州大学期望增加更多的太阳能发电设施

该大学已经在柯林斯堡的某校区建立了一个2兆瓦的太阳能发电厂，产生电力的10%用来供给学校设施的需求。

负责设施的主管布莱恩说，学校正在寻求相关支持来保证这个计划的顺利进行。

一家私营公司将建立并且拥有这个14英亩的太阳能发电厂，并且许诺在20年之内以固定的价格将电卖给学校，此项目至少为该大学省下了数百万美元的资金。

FORT COLLINS, COLO. — Colorado State University plans to add a 3.3-megawatt solar farm that could be generating power by Christmas, if all goes according to plan.

The university already has a 2-megawatt solar facility on its Foothills Campus west of Fort Collins that generates about 10 percent of the power needs on that campus.

CSU facilities director Brian Chase says the school plans to seek county approval this summer of its plan for the new solar farm

A private company would build and own the 14-acre solar farm, and Xcel Energy would sell the power back to the university at a fixed price for 20 years.

Chase says the project would save the university at least several million dollars over time.
