Austin-based HelioVolt, a developer of thin film, photovoltaic coatings, has raised $31.5M as part of a $32.0M funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm today. The funding appears to be part of a round kicked off in February, when the firm's current investors, took the reigns at the company, which resulted in the hiring of Jim Flanary, the former COO of First Solar, as CEO earlier this month. No details on the funding have been announced by the firm, which had raised $101M in a Series B back in October of 2007
