NEW YORK, Jan 18 (Reuters) - DuPont (DD.N) said Monday it would invest an additional $175 million to expand a line of solar materials, boosting the chemical maker's commitment to alternative energy.
The company will expand its line of Tedlar products, which are used as a backing in solar cells.
The investment is in addition to $120 million DuPont set aside last August for solar projects.
The new funds will be used at the company's Circleville, Ohio, plant, which will start producing Tedlar in September 2011.
