SunEdison 获得了意大利政府的最终批准,在意大利北部尼罗河附近建立一座72兆瓦的光伏发电站,这将会成为欧洲最大的光伏电站,超过西班牙的60兆瓦电站和德国的50兆瓦电站。
SunEdison eyes Italy for EU's biggest solar project
March 11, 2010 - SunEdison has received final approval from the Italian government to build a 72MW PV solar power plant in northeastern Italy near Rovigo, what will be the largest PV solar plant in Europe, surpassing a 60MW farm in Spain and a 50MW plant in Germany (another MEMC project).
The site will begin generating power in 2H10 and be completed by year's end, generating the annual energy equivalent to power >17,000 homes, and creating >350 construction jobs "and build expertise in advanced energy technologies," noted Renzo Marangon, government official of the Veneto region, in a statement.
SunEdison and financing partner Banco Santander will jointly develop the project, with other partners expected to come on board "for final ownership." Construction firm Isolux Corsán, which has a background in utility-scale solar plants, is managing the project, added Pancho Perez, SunEdison's GM for Europe and MENA.
